Highlights today.

It is not often I point to students work (I don’t like to play favourites) but do take a look at Alicia’s Sparkling Lotus-land particularly this post about her sampler. It’s not to be missed as an example of contemporary embroidery.

Radhika in India sent me a fantastic link to a site on Mexican textiles. Each pattern relates to a specific village and indigenous group. It’s a very interesting site.

On another note and just in case you missed the post, Elizabeth of Quieter moments is still wondering if anyone has seen this variety of triple up and down buttonhole stitch. I think it is a new variety of this stitch. When I saw it I immediately trawled my books and photocopies, notes and the like, but I could not find it in any of my references. Would anyone who recognises it please let Elizabeth know.
