A new blog

Anyone who starts their first post “The pleasure is in the making wherever and however it happens” is worth reading, but I must admit I know the author personally.

G (I am going to call him G because the formality of G Riedelbauch is too much for me) has just started writing virtual territory and so far has posted some really interesting material on the definition of design and particularly the term designer maker.

Scroll down for some good mental sustenance to ponder over while you stitch. This blog is about design and the many issues around contemporary practice so although not on the subject of textiles it does relate. I am sure many readers here will find the ideas here and here interesting and don’t miss his post on Durer.

If you have time leave a comment on his ideas or simply say hello and welcome him to the world of blogging. G is a personal friend and I know he would appreciate knowing you had swung by.

Sharon, this was an excellent read. I particularly enjoyed the essay on Durer...it was fun brushing up my German. I put Virtual Territory in my sidebar also -- under "Go Stretch Your Horizons". I hope many people will stop by VT -- absolutely worth it!
