Take a Stitch Tuesday Week 30

I can’t believe this is week 30 of the Take a Stitch Tuesday Challenge . I actually had to check, as it does not feel like week 30 if you know what I mean. I am not sure where the year is going but it certainly is flying by – before long we will be at the end of the year and the challenge will be over but I feel I have just settled into it!

Well what is on my little list this morning …

mmm …

she thinks to herself …

I think they will have fun with this one…

OK with out further fuss the challenge stitch this week is Buttonhole Wheel stitch.

Most people have encountered buttonhole wheels as floral motifs such as this one

Crazy quilters love them as they can be used in halves

Or you can use them in quarters

Or flip them from side to side like I have done here

But they can be used in contemporary embroidery too!

Or you can cluster alot of them together and use them in conjuction with beads and buttons

Well that’s it for this week remember to swing by and leave a comment here so that people can follow the link and see what you have done and there is a Take a stitch Tuesday flickr group which you can browse

Well for once I'm way ahead on this one. Back when we did buttonhole stitch I did a few wheels and it grew into this...http://susaneta.wordpress.com/2007/06/25/something-tast/
Note the cretan stitch in there too!

Sharon, I felt quite inspired tonight so have completed a small sample of Buttonhole Wheel stitch and posted it on my blog at
http://missmuffettwo.blogspot.com/
I'm quite pleased with it, and it felt good to be stitching again, at last.

Due to a collapsed computer, helping with a a 90th party and being absent from home, I was behind with TAST

I have uploaded my combination of Weeks 28-30, then discovered I missed the Bullion week. I didn't even have an old sample that I could cheat with. LOL
When the camera is re-charged I'll slip that one in too.

Although the Buttonhole Wheel is one of my favorites, I didn't have quite the amount of time I wanted to play with it, but you can see what I did with it here:
