News morning

I have a few bits of news this morning. Firstly I have been reading a great textile blog which I don’t think I have ever highlighted. Textile Cabin covers the topic of felting . Rachel Reynolds does some fantastic felting work so don’t miss her blog.

Since my post about an 1886 catalogue of embroidery designs free online John of Exceedingly Curious has been in contact with me to say that all the patterns are now available on CD The individual pages remain available free on his site.

While on the topic of Vintage patterns Pam of Kitty and Me has been regularly publishing a series of vintage patterns too don’t miss them on her flickr site . While there don’t miss her crazy quilt seam treatments too.

I also had an email from Susan Sorell to tell me that Creative Chick Studios will be offering online workshops, starting with Mono printing on Fabric. So check out her Classes page . (I am not affiliated with Creative Chick Studios – just friends with Susan)
