Bloggers who embellish ring is operational
Mary-Frances Main of Frequently Wrong but Never in Doubt dropped me an email to say that the Bloggers who Embellish web ring is now working.
I must admit the new software interface is a pain it took me 30 minutes to figure out how to join the ring and I am used to the net! I can see why Mary - Frances has trouble setting it up if the rest of the package is like this (you can read about it on her blog)
To join the ring you have to join Web Ring it self after you have done that choose the WebRing 1.0 membership as it is free and allows you to join webring communities.
Once you have gone through that process search for "Bloggers who Embellish" in the search field In the top right hand corner is the join button. This is easily missed because of so much advertising and visual clutter on the screen. It took me over 15 minutes to spot. I would have long given up had I not known how supportive Mary-Frances has been to the crazy quilting community online.
From there you can go through the sign up and verification process before putting the code on your blog.
The advantage to joining rings such as this one is it does increase traffic to your site. The textile community online seem to like them and have used them for years long before blogs! So people surf using the ring.

Everyone can email me for the html code too! It's easier to put on (as long as you know how to paste in html) and it doesn't do that weird "off center" thing! :)
uauuh¡ is a great job i love it, first time i see something like this i´ll visit u again.please if i no writing very well .
Just a quickie - in the html code there is a place to put your ring id number which you will find on your acceptance email in your webring account - ;id=nn&prev" is the line you are looking for. If you put in your ID number where nn is, instead of going to list the sites on webring, you will be taken to the next blog/website on the ring. You will find your account right of the top of the webring page and then look for WR messages.
