The Van Gogh letters Blog

I recently discovered the Van Gogh Blog which is developed by Antenna Audio and Van Gogh Museum. The Van Gogh blog is republishing Van Gogh letters. Many of the letters are illustrated and set his paintings within a context. All excerpts are from the website vangoghletters.org

This blog also links much of the research undertaken by the Van Gogh Museum and the Huygens Institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. Making the research accessible and understood is handled in seamless manner as following links leads to either images or to small bilingual video presentations. For instance this morning I discovered this video presentation on colour how it has changed over time and the ethical conservation issues associated with restoration.

In the case of links associated with the paintings Van Gogh has made reference to, there is a zoom tool with which you can zoom in on details on the page.

The Van Gogh letters blog was found with thanks via Molskinerie

It's the third time this week I see the bedroom of Vincent on a blog! And now with a link to his letters, thanks. I already read some of them, it's great to read it in old Dutch.
