Introducing block 16 on the "I dropped the button box" quilt

This morning I will be  introducing block 16, on this grid, of the “I dropped the button box” quilt. 

As you can see  this block consists of 7 pieces of light coloured fabric in it. Although it has only 7 pieces of fabric there are quite a few buttons.

 

Fabric content:

Piece 1: Silk from an after 5 dress.

Piece 2: Cotton synthetic mix. This came from a soft furnishing shop so it is probably curtain fabric.  

Piece 3: Silk 

Piece 4:A synthetic soft furnishing fabric

Piece 5: Cotton covered with lace 

Piece 6: Cotton synthetic mix.

Piece 7: Satin

Item Count: 

As I have explained before this quilt is a Y2K quilt which is made up of 2001 different elements. By element I mean either a different fabric, lace, braid, charm, buttons or ribbon. This count is an ongoing count of items and pieces in the quilt blocks documented so far.

Fabric: 7

Lace, braid and ribbon: 4

Buttons: 8

Total items on this block: 19

Total tally on Quilt so far 314
