For the Love of Stitching Sampler - Band 150

This is another experiment generated out or playing with  herringbone stitch as I created it by working the top section of herringbone around in a square and repeating the stitch over the top but moving inwards. I thought of doing it when looking at band 140. If you take a look I am sure you can see the connection. I even used the same thread to work it.

Thread:

A hand dyed wool

Fabric:

This section of my sampler is worked on cream dress linen.

Size:

All samples are 15 cm (6 inches) wide and stitched together in one long band sampler.

The sampler is currently 44 ft 5 inches or 533 inches (1353.83 centimetres) or 14.8 yards  (13.53 metres) long and still being added to.

Date:

I started this section of the sampler in 2004 and completed it early 2005.

The back story:

This post is part of series documenting a hand embroidered band sampler, which now measures over 44 feet long and is still growing as I still stitch it. That is not a typo, if you want to know more about the sampler related posts are listed below and all posts in the series are in the category For the Love of Stitching band sampler
