For the Love of Stitching Sampler - Band 165

Band description:

This is the first band in the section and is basic buttonhole stitch

Fabric and Thread:

The sample is worked on Aida. I only used one thread on this section of the sampler. It is a cotton thread which was hand dyed by me.

Dyes:

Procion cold water dyes are used to dye the threads

Size:

The sampler is 15 cm (6 inches) wide and all sections are stitched together in one long band sampler.

The sampler is currently 44 ft 5 inches or 533 inches (1353.83 centimetres) or 14.8 yards  (13.53 metres) long and still being added to.

Date:

This section of the sampler was finished in December 2005.

The back story:

This series is documenting a long hand embroidered band sampler, which is still growing as I still stitch it. More about the band sampler are in the category For the Love of Stitching band sampler

Hi Sharon! I just wanted to drop by and tell you how much I'm enjoying your site. I read through Google Reader, and I'm not sure if you changed something or they did, but now I can see your pictures in the Reader! Thought you might be interested to know - it is a VAST improvement. :) Thanks for all the inspiration!

Thanks Katrina
I am pleased you like it. I did not realise people could not see the photos and I was clicking around yesterday and changed some settings - glad it improved things rather than breaking them!
