Time to start off with the letter A

Last year I regularly produced ongoing reviews of art/textile/craft blogs. These alphabetical lists proved quite popular.

I am repeating the process, updating and adding blogs and removing those that are no longer active or have changed direction. I feel it’s better to publish this listing a letter at a time as it gives people time to browse and be browsed.

As I did last year I choose blogs that are on topic and written reasonably frequently, by textile practitioners and designers who do such things as quilt, stitch, dye, sew, embellish fabric, bead, use visual journals, or people who are interested in art and design. I also try and stick to blogs that are on topic at least 80% of the time.

Blogs that are obviously written as marketing blogs or blogs that simply constantly review products and services with the express aim of selling goods I have excluded.

If you have a blog that you would like me to check out please leave your blog address in as a comment and I will check it out.

Meanwhile make a cuppa and enjoy!

Hi Sharon,
I've always enjoyed your blog. It is always interesting, never boring or even repetitive. And I appreciate your caring for the technical part of our stitching. Please consider listing my blog. The address appears above. Many thanks, Orinda Spence

Hi Sharon, I would love having my CQ blog mentioned when you get to the C's. Last year, when you mentioned my blog from an email I sent in, a local (20 miles away here in the Salt Lake City area) fellow CQ'er contacted me and we've become great friends since! We were strangers before your mention of my blog. We laugh and like to tell people we "met in Australia". Thanks for all you do for the worldwide stitching community! Hugs, Cathy
