A twitter tribe for Crazy Quilters

I have a quick announcement as Mary-Frances Main of Frequently wrong but never in doubt dropped me an email to announce that she has set up a twitter tribe for crazy quilters. For those who are interested visit her site for details

I do not “tweet” but for those who do not know what twitter is it is a is a free social networking and micro-blogging service. Messages are limited to 140 characters. It is a service for friends, family, and co–workers which enables you to share the little things in life. Here is a little video on what twitter is.

I know people will ask if I have a twitter account and I don’t. Not because I do not approve or think it is silly to share so much of your life. I feel I have to limit my online activities and draw the line somewhere.

I like applications that share imagery as I am a visual person and like to see what people are doing rather than read what people are doing. Of course you can always tweet that you have added photos to your flickr account or blog or what ever. As I say I have nothing against the idea it’s just personal taste and I might change my mind in the future. So you may want to pop over and check out what a twitter tribe is all about.

I don't tweet either, but I do know that twitter has become more of a visual medium with the support of twitpics.

Oh thanks for letting me know about that as I was not fully informed then - I checked out some of the hand made and photography tribes and since they were not using them I assumed that images were supported - so I will have to investigate further.
