Remember my classes start soon!

Just a quick reminder for those who are interested in taking a class with me. Introduction to Silk Ribbon Embroidery is scheduled to begin on June 18.

This course is a bit different from my usual design orientated courses as it is written for absolute beginners to silk ribbon embroidery. In the 6 weeks we will be covering all the basics. I have designed 6 floral motifs that students will work through and along the way learn silk ribbon embroidery. The process is phototgraphed in a step by step manner and directions assume no prior knowledge.

What you use these designs for is left up to you. Students can use these designs on projects such as small bags, clothing, etc. Crazy quilters are free to and encouraged to use these designs on their current projects and crazy quilting blocks.

Studio Journals: A Designer’s Workhorse is scheduled to begin on June 11, 2009.

I have often spoken about a keeping a Studio journal. If you are interested in establishing this habit and learning about the process of using a Studio Journal this class shows you how to catch and develop ideas into designs for projects in fiber.

Follow the links to read class descriptions and I have described  how classes work if you are curious.

Hello dear Sharon

I register in the class "Studio Journals: A Designer’s Workhorse", that begins the eleventh day of June.

I think I'm going to enjoy! because you are very creative and love to teach. You know very well, how to encourage or animated or suggest to everyone who wish to do something. I also love to know if the class work surface will be re-taken.

Hugs!

I hope my first class day!!! :) :)

Hi Maria I am sure you will enjoy the class. If I read your comment correctly you are asking if the Sumptuous surface class will run again - it probably will next year I am not sure as it really depends on enrolments.

Hi,

I've signed up for both your clases and I hope you'll be sending out a supply list soon, especially for the silk ribbons . I live in the middle of nowhere and don't want to drive a couple hundred miles to pick up something I don't have in my stash. Although my stash is so large I can't believe I won't have everything I'll need but I like to be prepared, and sometimes mailorders take awhile to get to me.

I too am looking forward to Sumptuous surfaces next time it comes up.

Many thanks for your great blogg, and keep stitching and writing and teaching!
