CQ Detail 55

Stitches:

This is a really simply seam embellishment and regular readers will know I use it and varieties of it all the time! It is made by work 3 straight stitches and sewing a bead at the base. 

Thread:

Hand dyed  mercerised cotton (crochet thread) which is the dame thickness and weight as perle #5 

Placement and Foundation Fabric: 

This seam runs along the edge of 7 butting   pieces 3, 2 and 6 on the diagram published when I introduced block 8. At the same time I wrote about the foundation fabrics used in this crazy quilt block. 

Dyes: 

Procion cold water dyes for the cotton thread. 

Beads:

Seed beads
