CQ Detail 55

Stitches:
This is a really simply seam embellishment and regular readers will know I use it and varieties of it all the time! It is made by work 3 straight stitches and sewing a bead at the base.
Thread:
Hand dyed mercerised cotton (crochet thread) which is the dame thickness and weight as perle #5
Placement and Foundation Fabric:
This seam runs along the edge of 7 butting pieces 3, 2 and 6 on the diagram published when I introduced block 8. At the same time I wrote about the foundation fabrics used in this crazy quilt block.
Dyes:
Procion cold water dyes for the cotton thread.
Beads:
Seed beads
The back story:
This crazy quilt block is part of my “I dropped the Button box” quilt which I am documenting detail by detail, every second day. You will find information about this series of articles and the quilt here and all articles in the series are categorised under Crazy Quilt details
