Introducing block 22 on the "I dropped the button box" quilt
I can not quite believe we are at block 22 but it is time to introduce it. This is a pale block and usually like the cream on cream blocks so I hope people enjoy this one too!
When I started the series about each detail on the “I dropped the button box” quilt, I numbered the blocks on this grid. The same post shows the whole quilt too.
As you can see this block consists of 8 pieces of fabric
Fabric content:
- Piece 1: After 5 fabric
- Piece 2: Satin
- Piece 3: After 5 metallic fabric
- Piece 4: Velvet
- Piece 5: Cotton
- Piece 6: Cotton
- Piece 7: Silk
- Piece 8: Polyester
Item Count:
As I have explained the "i dropped the button box" quilt is also a Y2K quilt. It is made up of 2001 different elements. By element I mean either a different fabric, lace, braid, charm, buttons or ribbon. This count is an ongoing count of items and pieces in the quilt blocks documented so far.
- Fabric: 8
- Lace, braid and ribbon: 3
- Buttons: 17
Total items on this block: 28
Total tally of items on the quilt so far 440

I have just discovered this series about the crazy quilt. I am not a quilter, but I just wanted to tell you how incredibly inspirational I find your work. Thank you for putting this online!
I could not get the line to Block #5 to work, but I would love to see the article if you could point me to it.
Thanks,
Carole
