Introducing block 32 of the I Dropped the Button Box crazy quilt

Block 32 is a little bit of a favourite with me. I like the colour scheme because is not so predicable. Also across the bottom I have couched a novelty thread and the seam treatment is a little more free form.  I hope you will enjoy the focus on each detail over the next few weeks.  

Fabric content:

Piece 1: Silk 

Piece 2: Polyester

Piece 3: Cotton 

Piece 4: Cotton furnishing  polyester fabric 

Piece 5: Cotton 

Piece 6: Cotton with a layer os lace over it

Item Count: 

This quilt is a Y2K quilt which is made up of 2001 different elements. By element I mean either a different piece of fabric, a piece of lace or lace motif, braid, charm, button or strip of ribbon. This count is ongoing and represents the items in the quilt blocks documented in this blog so far.

Total items on this block: 17

I love this block too, especially piece 4 with the little squirrel on it. I can't tell from the picture is it embelished from something printed on the fabric or your own design? I also love the flowers stitched on piece 5 of this block. They look like little daffodils.
