Introducing block 31 of the I Dropped the Button Box crazy quilt

We are now at block 31! I have always liked this block as it is so overladen with vintage buttons. There are 11 of them but they sit OK.  It is also one of the few blocks that has a plain seam. Can you see it?  Between piece 1 and piece 2 is a seam which I did not embroider but no one ever finds it. I left it because it felt like the block had enough on it.  I have always enjoyed this block and I hope you will enjoy the details coming up too!

Piece 6: A light weight soft furnishing fabric

This quilt is a Y2K quilt which is made up of 2001 different elements. By element I mean either a different piece of fabric, a piece of lace or lace motif, braid, charm, button or strip of ribbon. This count is ongoing and represents the items in the quilt blocks documented in this blog so far.

This one is gorgeous Sharon. I always love cream on cream on cream with white!!! The beading and buttons are interesting. I am enjoying the blocks broken down and commented on.

Like Linda, I have always loved monochrome blocks especially white/cream. This one is gorgeous and may even end up being my favourite on the whole quilt. However, I counted 16 buttons, including the 5 'leaf' ones, which don't seem to be on the materials list. Hope I haven't messed up the count, lol.
