Introducing block 34 of the I Dropped the Button Box crazy quilt

It is time to introduce Block 34 which has a colour scheme made up of shades of white and blue.   This is probably a simple colour scheme but as I said when introducing the last block when there are 100 blocks in a quilt you need a few that are not screaming at you.  

I hope you will enjoy the focus on each detail on this block over the next few weeks and that readers are still enjoying seeing me document the seams, embellishments and decorations on the I dropped the button box quilt.   

Fabric content:

Piece 1: Cotton

Piece 2: Polyester   

Piece 3: Cotton polyester furnishing fabric  

Piece 4: Crepe 

Piece 5: Cotton 

Piece 6: Lace over cotton

Piece 7: Cotton polyester furnishing fabric  

Item Count: 

This quilt is made up of 2001 different elements as it was made in 2001. By element I mean either a different piece of fabric, lace, braid, charm, button or ribbon. The count below is ongoing and represents the items in the quilt blocks documented in this blog so far.

This is very pretty block. I still enjoy looking at all the details. The top button looks like porcelain.
